On Monday, January 28, 1946, Kittitas County Sheriff’s Deputy George Boice was en route to arrest a suspect when he was involved in a collision with a train. The collision occurred along the Milwaukee Railroad line, where it crossed “D” Street near Ellensburg.
Deputy Boice was a three-year veteran of the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office, survived by his wife and child.
