Brooke Lundquist, Ph.D., LMHC, CFRC

Brooke specializes in working with first responders & their families and has been a part of the fire family for the past 20+ years. She considers it a great honor to walk besidepeople during challenging times in their lives. She works with people from a variety of backgrounds & presenting issues from grief & loss to trauma, relationship issues to anxiety and depression. Brooke walks beside clients in the therapeutic journey, offering support and compassion while also kindly challenging them when appropriate. She has a great appreciation & understanding of the unique aspects of the first responder professions. Being that each client has unique needs and individual personalities, Brooke uses a variety of techniques and approaches to counseling. These approaches include, but are not limited to, EMDR, Gottman therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, emotion focused therapy, and person-centered therapy. Her approach is to join with clients and assist them on their journey by encouraging, supporting, and often challenging them along the way. Brooke sees her clients as the experts of their own lives and, through a shared experience, her hope is to explore each client’s story and invite them to engage in reflections, reframing, and to create new stories.
